Octopus is back: the diving watch that contributed to the history of medical diver watches.
An evocative design that draws from the past, attention to detail and the material used for this new technical watch is a tribute to one of the first ever divers with a pulsometer.

While remaining true to the original concept, our new Octopus combines vintage references with a more contemporary taste and the aim to make it suitable for “modern wrists”.

Octopus: the diver watch line that made history.

History

Octopus is the core model of the VeriWatch brand. It was born in 1973 as a homage to the sea, its depths and the octopus, king of the Adriatic Sea in Bari, and a symbol, amongst others, of transformation and the ability to adapt.

The components

Italian Design, Swiss Made. We are re-introducing the characteristic watch case of Skin Divers that was popular in the 60’ and the 70’s, a golden period for diving watches. Even the dial, clearly inspired by the typical vintage style of that era, evokes the original model’s design.

The brand

The sinuous lines of the Octopus logo re-emerge, well combined with the linear lines of the VeriWatch brand which has been re-interpreted without losing its 70’s DNA.

Medical-diver

Octopus was conceived in 1973 with the aim of offering a new diving watch which could be not just aesthetically pleasing, but which could also provide a sporting or medical function during a dive. This is achieved thanks to the presence of a pulsometer scale on an internal rehaut, the purpose of which determines heart rate frequency, expressed in beats per minute.

The pulsometer of the Octopus is set on a base of 30 pulses.
